Joyce caught this beautiful dolly in Quartz Creek, Alaska, when the stream was jammed full of spawning red salmon. In Alaska, the dollies follow runs of salmon up from the ocean and feed on the loose salmon eggs. This one was quite dark in color, with wonderful pink spots, so perhaps it was a resident of the nearby Kenai Lake.
